From a six-game drug-related suspension to a torn ACL, 2013 was a rough year for Von Miller. But, he’s ready to prove himself and come back stronger than ever — both on and off the field.

Miller says he’s ahead of schedule in the recovery of the ACL and hopes he can play in the first game of the season in September.

“I want to play every game this year…I am feeling good about where my body is,” Miller said according to The Denver Post.

Off the field, Miller’s charity, Von’s Vision hosted an event last night that provided pairs of glasses to 104 underprivileged children from the Boys & Girls Clubs across the Denver Metro area. By the end of 2016, Miller hopes Von’s Vision will provide eye exams and glasses to more than 50,000 children.

“In time, everybody will see the kind of guy I am,” Miller said. “When you face adversity you have to keep pushing.”
