Cover32 Mock Draft 1.0: Carolina Panthers find Jordan Gross’ replacement

The NFL Draft is slowly but surely approaching and with that, cover32 unveiled its first mock draft. There will be updated versions in the coming weeks as we get closer to the actual event but this is a nice starting point. Now let’s get down to what you really care about: Who did the Carolina Panthers take a pick number 28? We’ve discussed wide receiver, offensive lineman, and cornerback as positions that Carolina will take a look at for their first pick. In our first mock draft, the Panthers have been projected to select University of Virginia offensive tackle Morgan Moses. This selection is a perfect marriage of positional need and draft value. Moses is capable of stepping in and protecting Cam Newton’s blindside from Day One. If he gets taken by Carolina though, he’ll likely be starting out at right tackle.

You’re probably also wondering how the other teams fared and where the three notable quarterbacks were taken. One saw himself fall out of the first round completely. To check out the entire mock draft, click here.
