Weekly Rewind: Conflicting opinions on who the Panthers should draft


Compared with the two weeks that preceded it, this week has been relatively uneventful for the Carolina Panthers. They pursued wide receiver Sidney Rice but he ultimately re-signed with the Seattle Seahawks. However, the lack of significant moves has allowed us to focus on the upcoming NFL Draft and more specifically, who the Panthers should take. There are a lot of differing opinions on the matter:

-Some would say that cornerback is the biggest need for the team (READ)

-A columnist makes a strong case for taking a running back early (READ)

-Our first mock draft projects Carolina to find protection for Cam Newton’s blindside (READ)

Hopefully the Panthers can have their greatest draft class ever, though there’s some tough competition (READ)

And we can all agree that it would be awesome if whoever the Panthers draft can eventually play in these sweet proposed uniforms.
