Daryl Washington Sentenced

Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Daryl Washington has been sentenced to one year of supervised probation this morning in Maricopa County Superior Court, according to Arizonasports.com. He plead guilty to assaulting a former girlfriend who is the mother of his child.

According to the Associated Press, his potential punishments ranged from probation to 18 months in prison. Supervised probation means Washington will have to meet with a probation officer to ensure Washington is following a strict set of rules that are part of the terms of his sentence. We don’t have the details on what those terms all entail.

Washington could still be subject to additional discipline from the league itself from this guilty plea and sentence.
