It finally happened; the moment football fans have been waiting for since Super Bowl XLVIII ended (or maybe since it started for everyone who wasn’t a Seahawks fan).

The 2014 NFL schedule was announced Wednesday night and the Washington Redskins will open up at the Houston Texans on September 7, 2014.

Some highlights of the year matchups against the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and Indianapolis Colts where Robert Griffin III can face off against his young-superstar-quarterback nemeses Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, and Andrew Luck, respectively.

Another interesting game is a rare Saturday game Week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles tagged with a perplexing start time of ‘TBD’.

The Redskins also have at least three primetime games including a tilt versus Seahawks on October 6, followed by a Monday Night game at the Dallas Cowboys the next week. The Redskins will also face the New York Giants in primetime, and could potentially have a fourth primetime game against the Philadelphia Eagles if the flex option is utilized.
