Who do the Houston Texans select in Cover32’s mock draft?

Cover32 has come out with a second version of their own mock draft for the first round.

The Houston Texans will hold onto the first overall pick, and will end up taking defensive end Jadeveon Clowney out of South Carolina.

It’s well known by now that the Texans do in fact need a quarterback, as Ryan Fitzpatrick and Case Keenum haven’t shown signs of being a true number one quarterback yet. Clowney is simply too good of a prospect for Houston to pass on.

Pairing him with J.J. Watt would form one of the most dangerous pass-rushing duos in recent memory. The Texans defense is already one of the league’s best overall, but Clowney could give this defense even more toughness and game-changing ability.

The Texans should look to draft a quarterback in the second round and take Clowney, who is by far the best player in the draft. But the Texans haven’t given any indication who they’re going to take with the first pick, so it remains to be seen.

Texans fans, who would you like to see your team select with the top pick? Should they keep it or trade it? If they keep it, should they take Clowney or someone else?
