Cowboys re-sign Anthony Spencer to 1-year deal

According to multiple sources the Dallas Cowboys have made another free agency move and have signed Anthony Spencer.

Spencer played in only one game last year before undergoing microfracturing knee surgery that ended his season. It is worth noting that Spencer’s 2012 season was his best where he registered 11 sacks, and a Pro Bowl nod.

It is yet unknown if Spencer will be available for Cowboys Training Camp set to go from Oxnard, California in late July. Spencer visited other teams this offseason neither the Redskins or Giants offered him a deal.

Still, this looks good for the Cowboys as they most-likely wouldn’t have signed Spencer if he wasn’t going to be available in 2014. This gives the Cowboys at least two Pro Bowl defensive linemen on the roster and keeps all of the options open in the 2014 NFL Draft in less than two weeks.
