MOCK 3.0: Dolphins make easy pick at 19

Mock draft number one came and went followed by mock number two and now it’s time for round 3 !

After taking CJ Mosley with the 19th pick overall in the 1st go around, and making a trade for the 33rd and 65th pick in our second mock, we have decided to go the safe route in mock number 3.

Zack Martin (OT | Notre Dame)

Martin still being on the board at 19 left the Dolphins with a pretty obvious choice. Martin is a safe pick who can be slotted in as the Dolphins starting RT week 1 in 2014.

Many fans are still debating whether Martin or Lewan should be the guy if both are on the board, but we decided to go with Martin. Flexible and light on his feet which is always a good thing for a RT along with having very solid hand placement. Martin has solid tools to success in the NFL and has shown the ability to play in a zone-blocking scheme. Martin is widely considered one of the cleanest/safest (if there is such a thing) prospects in this year’s draft.
