Mock Draft 3.0: Tennessee finally lands its guy

We’ve been through three of these things and seen some solid results (Anthony Barr) and not so great results (Teddy Bridgewater).

In the third try, we’ve got the Titans landing the 6’4″, 245-pound tight end from the University of North Carolina, Eric Ebron.

I’ve made my case for Ebron before, but in this version of the mock draft, landing him is even sweeter.

We managed to swing a deal with the Baltimore Ravens, moving back from No. 11 to No. 17, but also snagging their second rounder and third rounder this year.

There’s quite a few holes to fill and if Tennessee can do anything even remotely similar, the Titans should jump at the opportunity.

Missing a third-round selection hurts and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them move back here in a few weeks.

Finally a mock draft that seems realistic. Although I don’t think Ebron will be there at 17. His stock keeps going up. I could see Jenkins from the UW in a Titan uniform. If he can stay out of trouble off the field and get serious about his football career, he’ll outplay Ebron any day of the week. I’m not worried about his foot injury. It’s healing up up nicely according to the doctors.

I doubt Ebron will be there as well, but if Tennessee can move back and land him that would be a stellar first round.
