Weekly Rewind: Cleveland’s 3-way QB competition is pathetic

The Cleveland Browns continue to make news in interesting ways, scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to get depth at quarterback. They tried out and quickly signed two this week – Tyler Thigpen and Vince Young. The Browns are now back to 2013 form with a 3-way QB competition. And yet GM Ray Farmer haa asserted that they know who they want to draft, and it sounds likely to be a quarterback. Is Johnny Manziel still the organization’s favorite?

hi eric … there is no QB competition here … its seems plain as day … hoyer will start … of thigpen & v.young , one will be the back-up to hoyer & the other will be cut … & they will draft a QB at some point of the draft & he’ll make the squad.

Hi tigersbrowns, good to hear from you again! At the moment, that’s a good going theory. But you really think they’ll pass on a QB with #4? It’s certainly possible, but I just don’t believe that. Or want to believe it for that matter.
