The Atlanta Falcons final big board

The NFL Draft begins at 8:00EST on Thursday. The wait is almost over football fans. There has been a lot of “leaks” by the media during the last couple of weeks. Will the Falcons covet Clowney or Robinson enough to trade up?

In short, no. It is very unlikely this trade occurs on Thursday for the price outlined by Houston. However, Thomas Dimitroff is one of the best at what he does. Do not underestimate his willingness to make a move either forward or backwards on Thursday. As of today, it would appear as if the smoke is starting to clear around Flowery Branch. I expect Atlanta to stay put and take one of these five players. Many have been concerned about the cost of trading up to #1, and I do not see the Falcons trading away anything more than a first round pick next season on top of their #6 this year, perhaps a later round pick as well.

Here are the Top 5 on Atlanta’s Big Board:

Jadeveon Clowney

Greg Robinson

Khalil Mack

Jake Matthews

Taylor Lewan

My final prediction is that the Falcons will only trade to #1 if it is for the deal mentioned above.
