Horseshoe Mailbag: Colts to add more picks in draft

Heading into Thurdsay night, the Colts are without a first round pick and a league low five picks overall. This draft class is deep at several positions, including ones the Colts have needs at, offensive line, safety, and wide receiver.

Ryan Grigson has shown that he is not the conservative type in his tenure with the Colts, trading picks for Vontae Davis(2nd round 2013), and Trent Richardson( 1st round 2014), so there is some speculation that the Colts could move into the first round. So this question came to us.

Will Ryan Grigson make a move to get the Colts into the first round of the draft?

Squash that thought now, the Colts would likely have to give away their second round pick, and a possible first or second round in 2015, something the Colts need to hang on to. Yet, there is one more possibility when the draft starts Thursday night.

Grigson will likely make his first pick in the second round, and after that start calling around to shop the third a fifth pick for more selections to add depth.

We all know that Grigson stated already that he would love to trade in the draft, and said trade down, not up. With that if the Colts can shop their third round pick for two or three selections, then Grigson will pull the trigger.

With a class loaded with depth, the Colts will look to strengthen their roster and improve their chances to make it to Glendale, Arizona next February.
