The draft is less than 36 hours away, and fans are anxious everywhere to welcome their new “savior”. Each first round pick will come in with expectations to either turn the franchise around, or get them over the hump and into the level of elite.
Unfortunately Colts fans will have to wait until Friday night to welcome the newest addition to Colts nation. So, whomever lands in the blue and white, will have the expectations to come in and start right away. Whether that be a safety of interior offensive lineman.
Experts everywhere have the Colts looking at three main positions with their first pick at slot 59, interior offensive line, receiver, and safety.
In my first mock draft, I had the Colts taking Cody Latimer, a receiver out of Indiana. Yet since his pro day, and scouts have went over his film, he stock has risen faster than any other prospect.
In my second mock draft, I had the Colts taking Deone Bucannon. A hard hitting safety from Washington State. The more I watch his film, the more I have fallen in love with his game. I will stick with Bucannon, even though some scouts have him as a third round pick.
So it is time for my final mock draft.
