Report: Denver Broncos have talked moving up in NFL Draft

The Denver Broncos are open to moving up in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, according to a report.

Or is that, a Rapoport? As in, Ian Rapoport.

Of course, this isn’t necessarily news. John Elway, the man in charge of the Broncos’ front office, said yesterday the team is open to moving up or moving down.

“We’re looking at the options of moving up, but we’re also looking at the possibility of moving back,” Elway said. “Leading up to the draft there’s going to be plenty of talk out there, and until you really get to draft day you never really know what’s going to happen.”

Really, it’s just classic Elway keeping his cards close to his chest.

If C.J. Mosley is available at, say, No. 25 do you think the Broncos would try to move up and grab him? Certainly, and we have Elway and Co. doing just that — moving up to No. 19 — in our Mock Draft 4.0.

Could there be someone else they’re eyeing? We just can’t say for sure.

But, with Elway at the reigns of the Broncos, fans can rest assured he’ll make the best decision for the team.
