Tonight, 32 players will be selected in the first round of of the 2014 NFL Draft. And during the course of the next three days, a total of 256 names will be called from the podium at Radio City Music Hall, signaling the start of many promising careers.

Many will make an NFL roster this season. Plenty will become starters. Roughly 30 or so will eventually earn a Pro Bowl nod. And a couple, if lucky, will turn into Hall of Fame players.

Who will rise to the top? That’s anyone’s guess, but we do know that it will come from throughout the seven rounds; it won’t just be the top of the draft that produces the cream of the 2014 crop.

A decade from now, we’ll be able to look back and determine who the best players from this year’s draft truly turned out to be. But hindsight is always 20/20.
