Chargers fill interior line void with Chris Watt from Notre Dame

Okay, so it’s not a sexy pick, but Chris Watt is exactly what the Chargers needed. An experienced and talented offensive guard to backup Johnnie Troutman, Rich Ohrnberger and Jeromey Clary. Eventually, the Bolts will hope Watt can start, and with the injury issues from last season, he may get the chance to play this year.

Watt started 37 games at Notre Dame. He is a big mauler at 6’3” 310 lbs. The negatives with Watt is he has a bit of an injury history with a torn labrum, torn MCL and pulled his quad running the forty at his pro day. With that being said, Watt has a lot of talent and has plenty of film to prove he is capable of starting in the NFL. It’s a great depth pick in which Telesco fulfills another need.
