Josh Gordon facing suspension for failing a drug test

Maybe the Browns need to draft another wide receiver…in a hurry. ESPN reports that Browns Pro Bowl WR Josh Gordon could be facing a year-long suspension for failing a drug test. And yes, the drug in question is allegedly marijuana. This could throw a monkey into the wrenches of the Cleveland’s up-and-coming offense.

The standout Gordon was suspended two games in 2013 for testing positive for drug usage and then blaming it on cough syrup. But the penalty for his second transgression is a 16-game suspension. He does have the right to appeal the suspension, though neither he nor his agent have shed any further light on the situation.

Losing Gordon for an entire year would be a tremendous blow to a Browns organization that is on the upswing of rebuilding. Mary Jane strikes again. So typically Cleveland.

Gordon is an incredible a——. Probably should’ve traded him last year. Now, the Browns won’t get much for this punk. Best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.
