Grice pick provides depth with Woodhead and Mathews’ impending free agency

Lucky for us, this pick was called by our Dan Pizzuta last week. He wrote a nice piece on Grice’s strengths which will give the Chargers some help in the return game and depth at running back in the future. I know some of the fans are frustrated by the pick wanting to go wide receiver or cornerback late (especially with Andre Hal on the board), but Grice is a really solid player. The guy did nothing but produce at Arizona State and could be a steal not unlike Andre Ellington for the Cardinals (6th round) last season. The former Sun Devil is the best back out of the backfield in the draft with over 400 receiving yards in both his seasons at ASU as well as 14 career receiving touchdowns. Welcome to America’s Finest City Marion. We welcome your exceptional pass catching skills and nose for the endzone.
