Houston Texan draft picks graded, how did the Texans do in the draft?

Clowney Texan Draft
Clowney is now a Texan

The Texans drafted ten guys in this years draft, some picks were expected, some were a little surprising, and the biggest perceived need at quarterback wasn’t addressed until the fourth round. ┬áSo how did the Texans do in the draft overall? I took the liberty to grade each player.

Texan picks:

Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina
Xavier Su’a-Filo, G, UCLA
C.J. Fiedorowicz, TE, Iowa
Louis Nix, NT, Notre Dame
Tom Savage, QB, Pittsburgh
Jeoffrey Pagan, DE
Alfred Blue, RB, LSU, Alabama
Jay Prosch, FB, Auburn
Andre Hal, CB, Vanderbilt
Lonnie Ballentine, S, Memphis

Great draft Texans! I have to agree, this was an excellent selection with some very solid players. I feel that Savage was probably the best of the QB bunch and is mature and poised QB, and what a tough O-Line we will have as well as another year of strong defense if everyone can stay healthy. Look for Texans to lead the AFC South this year and in the Top 5 instead of the bottom 5 of 2013.
