St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey hit with a four-game suspension (UPDATE)

It’s been such a good few days for the Rams organization overall, with the Rams receiving nearly universal praise for their draft, including the bold decision to draft Michael Sam.

However, the Rams wide receivers have not done their part. The group received a metaphorical vote of confidence when Les Snead decided not to draft a single receiver in the draft. He was rewarded with Kenny Britt posting a sex video to Instagram and now – in what is a much more damaging bit of news – a four-game suspension for second-year player Stedman Bailey.

Bailey was a dark horse candidate to win a starting wide receiver job this season, as he greatly improved over the course of his rookie season and had become a solid contributor to the offense. That scenario is now kaput, and you almost have to wonder if Bailey might have a tough time seeing the field when he returns from his suspension.

Bailey gave a half-assed apology on Twitter but never quite admitted guilt. You can judge for yourself below.

Update at 3:32 p.m.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport says Bailey supposedly didn’t take any PEDs. Still working to find out what exactly got him suspended.

More info to come as we here about it.

While I do not agree with Mr. Bailey, I do not see a “half passed” apology. Looks like he came out and said what he should have. I call this “half passed” reporting from a amateur writer/rookie.
