Johnny Manziel is a cultural phenomenon. He was the central player of the 2014 NFL draft. Now that he’s drafted, his is the top-selling jersey in the NFL. But don’t expect him to start on opening day:
Haslam: "Mike Pettine told Johnny Manziel ''you're the backup and you have to act as such."

Granted, Haslam was only regurgitating what old-school head coach Mike Pettine had said. But if Cleveland is going to stick to this, it looks like the most popular Cleveland Browns player will be holding a clipboard for a while. Pettine even went a step further to tone back the potential ego a celebrity like Manziel might have:
Browns owner Jimmy Haslamsays team has told Manzielto start acting "likea backup QB" and "thisis not Hollywood." pic.twitter.com/RtDinZ8hNJ

The NFL may not be Hollywood, but it seems to be getting closer every year…maybe that’s just me.
