The Oakland Raiders are pretty much finished making additions to their roster. They brought in a slough of new players in free agency before adding eight more in the NFL Draft. There will still be some moves of players on and off the roster as the Raiders have not yet officially listed their undrafted free agent signings and they very well could add players cut by other teams. But for all intents and purposes, the roster as you see it now is what the Raiders will be working with in 2014.
I don’t think there can be any question in any reasonable persons mind over whether or not the Raiders improved their roster this season. Anyone who questions that fact clearly did not pay close attention to the rag tag unit in 2013 that was generously referred to as an NFL team. But the question of just how much better they got is certainly a reasonable one.
So with that in mind, let’s take a look at the five position groups that represent the most upgraded groups on the Raiders this season:
