The decision was just announced by Roger Goodell from the NFL owners meetings that Minnesota will host Super Bowl LII in 2018.
Shocker. Minnesota wins the bid for Super Bowl LII. Breaks New Orleans streak.

It’s definitely an upset, as New Orleans was favored to host its 11th Super Bowl — and had never lost a bid before.
The Vikings new stadium, scheduled to be opened in 2016 and cost about $1 Billion, was likely a huge factor in securing the bid. Congrats to the Twin Cities.
