Grade Day: Our top-10 list of running backs earns an “A”

We have a new Wednesday feature in which we will grade something Rams-related on a scale of A-F. This should be a really fun concept as the offseason rolls into the regular season.

Today, for our inaugural Grade Day, I’m handing out an “A” to this list of top-10 NFL running backs our cover32 senior editing staff compiled.

When I first saw this, I was afraid our guys were going to snub Rams running back Zac Stacy in favor of more well-known names, such as Ray Rice. But if you look at Stacy’s numbers from last season, especially his yards after contact, you know that he’s deserving of a top-10 spot. Sure enough, our astute editors recognized Stacy by honoring him as the ninth best NFL running back in the league right now.

With a full year of a healthy Sam Bradford (knock on wood) and an offensive line that should be improved, Stacy just might crack into the top-five by next season. He certainly has the ability.
