Getting to know new Carolina Panthers offensive tackle David Foucault (VIDEO)

Canadians are cool people. They gave us the telephone, poutine, and a cherubic voice in Celine Dion. They’ve also given the Carolina Panthers their newest offensive tackle, David Foucault.

Foucault, whose name is pronounced foo-KOH, is a 6’7, 300 pound tackle out of the University of Montreal. In college, he shifted from the defensive to offensive line, starting at guard before ultimately moving to tackle.

Last week, he was selected by his hometown Montreal Alouettes with the fifth overall pick in the 2014 CFL Draft. Here’s a video of him before the draft expressing himself through a beautiful Quebec accent. Surely we’re all surprised he can fit in a Nissan Versa, much less a Smart Car right?
