The NFLPA President DeMaurice Smith has officially called out Roger Goodell on how he is handling the Jim Irsay situation, since being offically charged last week on his March arrest.

The key here for Goodell is to not play this by “ear” and take a while to hand out a punishment on Irsay. The players will be watching the closely and if the gap between players and management stay that far apart, then the players will have a legitimate argument.
The whole league will be watching this, and we know a punishment will come against Irsay and the Colts organization, but to what extent is a mystery to anyone.
Irsay needs to be held responsible for his actions, just like a player would in this situation, and even though it will hurt the team, something needs to be done soon.
