In the offseason, it seems “no news is good news.”
That’s because, for the Denver Broncos, multiple negative news stories have come out recently.
10 days ago, it was T.J. Ward with an arrest warrant out, which was later dropped when he appeared to court the next day. On that court day, May 23, executive Matt Russell was sentenced to seven months of jail following his arrest stemming back to last July which included DUI, careless driving and driving with an open container in the car.
Now, it’s John Elway III, Broncos GM John Elway’s son, who’s been arrested.
According to CBS4, “Jack” Elway allegedly pushed a 23-year old woman out of a moving car near the intersection of Colfax and Lipan Street. CBS’s source says the woman didn’t sustain visible injuries.
Police then went to the Elway’s Cherry Hills Village home to arrest the 24-year old John Elway III and he was subsequently released on Saturday on a $550 bond. He will appear in court again on June 5.
John Elway III formerly played quarterback at Cherry Creek High School and went onto play briefly at Arizona State before quitting football in 2009.
