Pro Football Focus names Zac Stacy as its “Secret Superstar”

Pro Football Focus has been doing a feature recently where they unveil each team’s secret superstar.

Today, the folks at PFF finally got around to the St. Louis Rams. Their pick? Rams running back Zac Stacy.

From the piece:

He will likely receive the bulk of the playing time once again, but third-round draft pick Tre Mason should also figure into the equation. Stacy’s playing time shouldn’t be affected too much because of their difference in running style. If the Rams indeed utilize Mason as a change-of-pace back, Mason’s playing time will probably come at the expense of Pead and Cunningham instead of Stacy. Regardless, Stacy will be an important part of the Rams’ success on offense.

My guess is that Stacy will easily top the 1,000 yard barrier this season if (kind of a big if too) he stays healthy. I’m excited to see how he does in his second season.

Rams fan since Deacon Jones era; plus the Rams had two great years in the draft. As Houston Oilers told Pittsburgh Steelers that year,” we knock on the door, now we going to knock it down this year. That’s the they had Earl Campbell. This is message to the NFL WEST, especially Seahawks & those 49ers. This is our year to make the play-off divisional or wild card berth. I’m only saying! Love those Rams!
