Eli Manning says he could play if NFL season started tomorrow

Scratch any fear about lingering pain in Eli Manning’s surgically repaired ankle, the Giants quarterback says he would be ready to play if the 2014 NFL season started tomorrow (via Newsday’s Tom Rock).

Manning has been able to participate fully in OTAs despite undergoing arthroscopic ankle surgery back in April. Coming off a season during which Manning threw a franchise-record 27 interceptions, the 33-year-old will be looking for a turnaround year in a new offensive scheme run by offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo.
