Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has been welcomed by the city of Seattle with open arms: now he’s using his new extension to settle in for a long-term stay. According to a report by Nick Eaton in the Seattle Post Intelligencer, Sherman has purchased a property in nearby Maple Valley, Washington from NBA star Jamal Crawford, valued at $2.31 million:
“Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman is already putting his new salary to good use, buying NBA star and Seattle native Jamal Crawford’s home in Maple Valley for $2.31 million. Public records show that Sherman, 26, on Friday purchased a 9,435-square-foot Mediterranean mansion from Crawford…”
Jamal Crawford of course is an NBA guard who plays for the Los Angeles Clippers. The 34 year old Crawford is a Seattle native and in my opinion one of the best ball handlers and pure scorers in the history of the game. If you haven’t had a chance to catch him in action I highly recommend it. Here’s a clip of Crawford going to work on Lebron James:
Anyway, Sherman’s new pad comes with some pretty awesome amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, a beauty salon, private decks for every bedroom, a hot tub, and stone fireplaces. Here’s what it looks like from the outside:
Not half bad.
