Ten sleeper teams that could make the playoffs in 2014

8. Houston Texans (2-14 in 2013)

Jadeveon Clowney joins an already talented Texans defense

Last year was a disaster in every possible way in Houston, as the season went awry in Week 4 when a sure victory over the eventual-champion Seahawks turned into a loss when Matt Schaub threw a late-game pick six to Richard Sherman. That was the second of 14 consecutive losses to end the season, which is just staggering. But new head coach Bill O’Brien doesn’t have bare cupboards; there’s a ton of talent, especially on defense, to work with as the Texans bounce back.

7. Buffalo Bills (6-10 in 2013)

Sammy Watkins gives Buffalo a new weapon

Last season, they lost to the Patriots by two in the opener, fell in overtime against both the Bengals and the Falcons, and lost by a touchdown at the Jets. In other words, they were right there. But the bigger takeaway from last season is that despite disappointing losses, as well as a rash of injuries at the quarterback position, head coach Doug Marrone kept his team from quitting. A late-season win over a Miami team with playoff hopes said a lot.

Giants get no respect by writers, they’ll trample Washington. The writer lost credibility

The Giants will be much better in their run game and offensive line, therefore the pass game should be much improved. The defensive backs this year are improved. The LB and DL are at worse the same, can’t see how one can’t pick them as a much improved team..

Buccaneers not only have a new look on offense, will also welcome the Tampa 2 with talent all over the field, with Levonte David as the anchor. FIRE THE CANNONS BABY!!!

Lol at EC, sounds like a typical Giants fan. Saying “They’ll trample Washington” then follow it up with no reasons as to why shows why you know nothing about football. Your team got lucky to win 2 Siper Bowls. Y’all are too hot or too cold to win anything. With the retirement of Chris Snee your already abysmal run game will be even worse. Your defense is losing its identity as your pass rushers continue to age. Y’all are going to finish 3rd or 4th. Sorry buddy
