The Kansas City Chiefs begin their final week of voluntary OTA’s before their first mandatory workouts next week. The biggest questions facing the team right now are pretty simple.

1) Will Brandon Flowers and Justin Houston be at those mandatory OTA’s?

2) Will the Chiefs give Alex Smith the contract extension he’s hoping for?

We should have the answer to the first question soon. The likelihood of Alex Smith’s contract extension remains to be seen. And with that, lets get into Twitter Tuesday.

Speaking of Alex Smith’s contract extension, NFL.com had an interesting post on the possibility of Smith and Andy Dalton creating the new “mid-level” quarterback salary.

Unfortunately for the Chiefs, a “mid-level” quarterback appears to be in line to make $10+ million.

A lot of Chiefs fans were concerned about the return game after Dexter McCluster left in free agency. It sounds like the Chiefs front office and coaching staff don’t share those concerns.

Chiefs first round pick Dee Ford was on NFL Serious Radio.

Congrats to Aaron Murray!

The Chiefs regular season begins in 90 days, and all is right in the world.
