Peyton Manning may fancy himself the quarterback king of commercials, but expect Drew Brees to be nipping at his heels this football season.
Earlier this month Brees inked a deal that will result in him owning 23 separate Jimmy John’s shops, nearing Manning’s mark of 25 Papa John’s stores.
Brees is not a stranger to commercial advertising, featuring in many ads including Wrangler, Pepsi, and Can-Am Spyder (including an ad that sparked some controversy). While Manning tends to come off cheesy, Brees genuinely looks more comfortable and less gimmicky. Both quarterbacks will likely be vying for the passing crown next year, and in between the games they’ll be fighting for commercial air time as well.
