Houston Texans offensive lineman David Quessenberry tweeted yesterday that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma, and he broke the news on Twitter.
Quessenberry said “As long as I have breath in my lungs I will fight this disease, and I will win.” He then tweeted gracefully about all the love and support he’s already received as he fights this disease.
Can’t even begin to express my gratitude to the amazing outpouring of Love and Prayers for me and my family. The support has been incredible

The Texans have shown plenty of support towards his recovery, including that of head coach Bill O’Brien. It’s incredibly tremendous to see someone remain so positive after receiving sad news. Quessenberry’s a warrior and must be admired for all of the thankfulness he’s shown just one day after being diagnosed.
The Texans, as well as head coach BIll O’Brien, shared more support.
“From our staff and our team to David & his family, we look forward to the day he beats it and comes back as a Houston Texan.” -O’Brien
