Just a few days ago, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher mentioned that Rams left tackle Jake Long would likely be starting training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform List. We naturally surmised that the news might mean that Long wouldn’t be healthy in time for the regular season, which is fewer than three months away.
However, the Rams and Long himself both insist that Long will be ready for team’s season opener on Sept. 7 versus Minnesota.

Certainly encouraging news for Rams fans, as having a healthy Long on Sam Bradford’s blind side is certainly the best possible scenario for the Rams’ offensive line. Let’s hope this news comes to fruition in September.
