Which Panthers player do you guys think is most ready to make a big leap in 2014?

There are plenty of candidates on the roster since there’s so much young talent in Carolina right now. Second-year defensive tackles Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short are two names that come to mind quickly. However, I think third year offensive guard Amini Silatolu is going to make biggest leap in 2014. The 2012 second round pick was on the All-Rookie team his first year and was really improving before he tore his ACL in Week 5 at Arizona. He’s going to need to be great to replace the retiring Travelle Wharton, who was a top five guard in the NFL last year, and I think he will be. While there are serious concerns at offensive tackle for Carolina, I think the Panthers’ interior offensive line is going to be one of the best in the NFL and that’s because Amini Silatolu and Ryan Kalil will both be excellent in 2014.
