Patrick Mannelly announces retirement on Twitter

Long snapper Patrick Mannelly took to his Twitter account this morning to announce his retirement. He used a clip from the movie “Old School” to reminisce about the good times he had with the Bears.

Mannelly will retire as the Bears all-time leader in games played. He will finish with 16 seasons under his belt and 245 career games all in a Bears uniform. Mannelly has battled numerous injuries over the past few seasons including a hip injury that required surgery. He didn’t miss a game in 12 of his 16 seasons in the league.
