Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Marqise Lee can catch… and deliver

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Marqise Lee is having a slower start than he would like as a professional football player in the National Football League.

After being one of the many wideouts that got injured during the team’s voluntary team activities, Lee has to sit this week’s mandatory mini-camp out as his foot injury still seems to be hindering him from catching passes from quarterbacks Chad Henne and Blake Bortles.

That injury however, won’t hinder him from delivering ice cream. Yup, you read that right, ice cream.

According to a team press release, on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, Lee will make three stops near downtown Jacksonville to deliver Blue Bell ice cream to kids attending summer camps in order to help them beat the heat. The three locations Lee will be visiting are posted below:

Heart for Children Summer Camp
1531 Winthrop Street
Jacksonville, FL 32206
Time: 12:00 p.m.

Sanctuary on 8th Street
120 East 8th Street
Jacksonville, FL 32206
Time: 12:30 p.m.

Eastside Police Athletic League
1050 Franklin Street
Jacksonville, Florida 32206
Time: 1:00 p.m.

Let’s hope that Lee can recover quickly from this foot injury or he might be delivering ice cream longer than he wants too.
