Yesterday, NFL Network continued their series of the Top 100 players of 2014, as voted by the NFL players.
They released the rankings of the best players, 30-21. Andre Johnson found his name on the list, coming in impressively at number 21. He becomes just the second Houston Texans player to make the list, where tackle Duane Brown found his name at number 86.
Brown, in the linked video above, said the following about Johnson: “He is just a freakish athlete, even this late in his career. Great combination of size, speed, route-running ability, can catch everything. He’s just a tremendous competitor and he’s a great example for all of us.”
Johnson had an amazing season at age 32 for the Texans. Even though the quarterback play was atrocious (Matt Schaub and Case Keenum struggled all season,) Johnson still managed 109 catches for 1,407 yards and five touchdowns.
He’s shown no signs of slowing down, and continues to shine, no matter the quarterback that is throwing at him.
