Wide receiver A.J. Green created a minor media storm with his recent comments regarding quarterback Andy Dalton.

“I know he’s my guy. I don’t want any other quarterback throwing me the ball. I think he feels the same way about me.” Green said on NFL Network.

Dalton has commanded a large pool of attention this offseason due to his expiring contract.

Green’s words probably won’t influence how the front office will manage Dalton, however, had Green said negative comments about Dalton, it would have been bad news for number 14.

Perhaps Green is just looking out for his career by concluding that he would rather have Dalton throwing him deep passes than backup quarterback Jason Campbell.

Whatever Green’s intention was, it remains to be seen whether Dalton will be a Bengal after this year.

Dalton, will play out his final year of the four-year, $5,214,198 contract. Rumors are that Dalton and his agent are looking for a deal similar to Jay Cutler’s monster seven-year, $126 million contract with $54 million guaranteed.
