The Seattle Seahawks defense usually is well known for its secondary, the infamously physical legion of boom. Richard Sherman is now a household name and his fellow All-Pros Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas are on their way to that distinction as well. People also know about Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril and Seattle’s relentless pass rush.
What you don’t usually hear about is their linebackers – but in Super bowl XLVIII they had their finest hour. Malcom Smith captured an interception, a forced fumble and the MVP trophy. K.J. Wright was relentless, and Bobby Wagner was typically fantastic.
Mr. Wagner made an appearance on ESPN’s First Take yesterday and he said some things, and some stuff – including some major shade thrown the way of the Denver Broncos, who he called scared. Here’s the complete video:
