Former Oakland Raiders backup quarterback Andrew Walter is running for a position in the Arizona house of representatives and he needs your help. What do you get for helping him you ask? Why you get to shoot stuff of course!
Walter was a third round pick in the 2005 draft for the Raiders and many hoped he would develop into the starting quarterback one day. Unfortunately for him and the Raiders, he never panned out to be anything more than a backup in the NFL. After four seasons of bench warming, Walter was unable to latch onto an NFL team and retired from the sport.
Since then he has decided to run for office and is throwing a fundraiser on Friday night titled:”An Evening of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms”, catchy right? The event will start at a firing range where donors will be given bullets and the opportunity to fire varying guns based on the amount donated. $1,000 gets you 250 rounds of ammo and the chance to shoot three weapons while $250 gets you a box of ammo and the chance to shoot a glock 18. After shooting things at the range, the event will retire to a local bar to enjoy cocktails and cigars.
So if you’re hankering to shoot stuff then go get drunk with a former Raider, all it will take is a flight to Arizona and a $250 donation to his campaign.
