After a steady season of basically running in a straight line and simply outjumping defenders, Justin Hunter has been the talk of the offseason.
Hunter has been slated as a potential “Making the Leap” candidate by NFL.com after recording 18 catches for 354 yards and four touchdowns.
Now, fellow wide receiver Michael Preston has labeled Hunter the next Randy Moss.
Said Preston, via John Glennon or the Tennessean, “I know how great a player Randy Moss was, and in my mind, there’s no reason Justin can’t be the next greatest player … I just want to be there to support him. I know he’s going to grow, make a great leap this year, and impress the city and fans with his talent.”
As the season draws closer, the expectations should only increase if Hunter shows his skill set during training camp.
Time will tell if Hunter can turn that pressure into development, as he saw teammate Kendall Wright do last year, or if he’ll crumble under pressure, like Kenny Britt did over his time in Tennessee.
