San Diego Chargers’ Chris Davis wins ESPY for Best Play

Congratulations to San Diego Charger, and former Auburn Tiger, Chris Davis for his ESPY win last night. Here is the play that won the Iron Bowl. Last week, we talked about Davis’ chances to make the Chargers roster. After hearing his ESPYs speech, it’s hard not to love his attitude and humility. We wish him the best entering his first training camp!

The famous, or if you happen to be an Alabama fan, infamous play known as the “Kick Six” won the ESPY Award for “Best Play” on Wednesday evening at the annual event held in Los Angeles, California, beating out Auburn’s last second heave to Ricardo Louis against Georgia only a few weeks before.

Davis was present to receive the honor, and also was part of the group that collected the “Best Game” award for the Iron Bowl matchup between the Tigers and Crimson Tide last season at Jordan-Hare Stadium, which beat out thrilling contests, like Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final between the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings.
