Jadeveon Clowney not too pleased with his Madden rating

Over the weekend Madden released their annual player ratings in preparation for the release of this year’s installment. EA Sports had some fun with the rookie class of 2014 by asking them what they thought they should be rated, then filming their response once they saw it.

Jadeveon Clowney was one of several rookies who was less than pleased. Check out Clowney’s reaction here in this video:

In case you were wondering, Clowney was rated 85 overall. J.J. Watt once again was the highest rated Madden player with a 99.

85 isn’t bad, but considering all of his upside it mignht be a little low. Clowney shouldn’t feel too bad though – back in 2011 Richard Sherman was rated the lowest cornerback in the game. Now he’s on the cover.

I was so thrilled we took Clowney – he and JJ are going to kill! All my NFL friends around the country are jealous jealous jealous. And if we had taken that spoiled brat Johnny Football, I was going to move to Denver. Though why we didn’t pick up Alabama’s QB in the 5th round is beyond me – AL as an NFL type system too and the guy is a great game manager. Plus look who coached him. Houston’s coach isn’t even in the same league (why did they not keep Wade; that is another mystery to me).
