Brilliant redesigned Packers logo features state of Wisconsin

Everyone seems to be making their own NFL logos these days. There are ones inspired by Star Wars, Game of Thrones, corporations, fat people, it goes on and on. We haven’t seen any for the Packers that really caught our eye, until today.

Here’s a sharp new redesigned logo for the Packers that we found on imgur, which features the state of Wisconsin prominently. Check it out:

I think it’s appropriate to include the state in the logo. Green Bay may be the team’s home but the Packers are far and away the most popular team in the state. What do you think? Is this one better than the logo the Packers currently use or not?

Yes, and as far as being worried for those that will boo, tell them to grow up. I didn’t like what happened that year but that is done and over with. I think some people need to apologize to Rodgers for how he was treated when this all went down, like it was his fault this all happened. After all he has only thrown for over 4,000 yards each year up until last year when he missed the mark due to missing 7 games but still almost reaching the 2,000 or was it almost three in the 9 games he played in.

last year was not his first year to not reach 4000 passing yards.

The throwback logo with the player getting ready to throw a pass with the state in the background that originated in the 50’s is a lot classier, this looks like a combination of a cheap knock-off of that and the intertwined GB of the 60’s & 70’s.

  • David Demulling

Stay with what we have don’t have to change! The new looks like some Jr. collage Or High school logo——LOL!!!

  • John Autin

Don’t like the lettering at all. Too much intersecting — it’s not immediately recognizable as “GB.” It just looks like a grid.

  • Kyle

Tim, you are an idiot… That is a terrible logo! The Packer’s G is awesome and doesn’t need to be changed.

leave old logo alone/ it’s been fine for decades!!!!

  • Mike

Looks like a half drunk graphic artist vomited green spaghetti on proceeded to pat himself on hus back for such a great design. NO and he’ll no. Don’t touch the current logo, leave it alone.

I would NEVER replace the original helmet logo, but I wouldn’t mind it on a hat or a tshirt.

  • mike

Why don’t we approve a indian logo and call our team the green bay oniedans? seriously, if it aint broke don’t fix it!

  • Randall

I’m was born and raised in Green Bay, and I live in Green Bay. I must admit I’m of two minds on this. On one hand, I think the state logo is fine for the reasons cited in the article. On the other hand, there is absolutely no question that it has been Green Bay and Brown County that gave birth to the team and which has paid an outsized portion of the team’s expenses over the years (e.g. Lambeau Field and its maintenance and additions), so it should remain a team primarily associated with the city, per se. After all, do the Bucs and the Brewers include the entire state on their logos? The answer is no, so why should the Packers? Either way, though, it’s not something to get excited over.

  • Bob

It might be fine for a college team but not for a “pro” team. They have fans everywhere.

  • Mimi Kay

Very bad graphic. Stick with what you had.

  • Karen

Ugly! They paid someone to design that and someone from the Packers approved it. Really!
