KCTV5 reports Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles will hold out


KCTV5’s Brad Fanning is reporting that Kansas City Chiefs’ star running back, Jamaal Charles, will hold out from training camp in an effort to get a new contract.

Jamaal Charles has two years remaining on his contract. He’s scheduled to make $5.2 million in 2014 and $7.3 million in 2015.

There are 12 running backs in the NFL that would make more than Jamaal Charles in 2014.

Charles is coming off of a historic season in 2013 when he rushed for more than 1,200 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. He added nearly 700 yards receiving with 7 touchdowns through the air.
