Pittsburgh Steelers to wear commemorative decal on helmets in 2014

The Pittsburgh Steelers will honor legendary and recently deceased head coach Chuck Noll with a commemorative decal on their helmets for the 2014 season.

The decal will be revealed on the season opener against Cleveland, September 7th which is also the date designated by Pennsylvania’s senators to honor Noll, named Chuck Noll Day.

“The team will be, for the first time, wearing a decal with Chuck’s initials on it. That will be the first game we wear it, and then that decal will be worn on the helmet for the rest of the season. Then, we will have some other ways to commemorate Chuck,” Steelers President Art Rooney II said on July 22.

The helmet decal is a great honor to a great coach from a classy organization.
