This redesigned Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo is a big improvement

Earlier this year the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released an “enhanced” version of their team logo that looked pretty much exactly the same as the old one. It seemed like a silly publicity stunt for a team that had much more important fish to fry: like integrating new head coach Lovie Smith’s system.

Fortunately there are designers out there who can do a much better job of coming up with creative new ideas. In fact, everyone seems to be making their own NFL logos these days. There are ones inspired by Star Wars, Game of Thrones, corporations, fat people, it goes on and on. We haven’t seen any for the Bucs that really caught our eye, until today.

Here’s the new digs we found on imgur:

It might be a little bit Raider-y but I think it’s a big improvement over the current “new” logo. Pirates are supposed to be sinister after all, not cartoonish. What do you say?

that is no way better than our brand new logo! that angle and laughter projected from the skulls face is far from sinister…

I do agree the previous logo looks far more original and better than this one. I am not going to comment about sinister, no comments on that, but ugly yes indeed.

Check with the liberals. Someone may be offended.

Nothing offensive about it, except that it is UGLY! Go back to the FIRST Bucs logo stick to it!

I’m against it because I don’t want to offend any Buccaneers! I think all teams should be named after flowers…Tampa Bay Carnations!
