Tennessee Titans Camp Preview: Defensive Backs

As training camp approaches, it means the Tennessee Titans move one day closer to the preseason, and eventually the regular season. As we inch further throughout the offseason, every day we will feature a training camp preview.

Today’s preview focuses on a changing of the guard, as three defensive backs attempt to replace Alterraun Verner opposite Jason McCourty.

Starters: LCB Blidi Wreh-Wilson, RCB Jason McCourty

Wreh-Wilson appears to be the front runner for the position across the field from Tennessee’s lockdown corner, McCourty, but the position is still up for grabs.

Backups: Tommie Campbell, Coty Sensabaugh, Marqueston Huff, Khalid Wooten, Marc Anthony, Micah Pellerin, Hakeem Smith

Tommie Campbell has the skill set fitting for a premier corner, but hasn’t developed as quickly as the Titans would like. Combine that with mental mistakes and he’ll need a solid camp to replace Wreh-Wilson. Sensabaugh will also attempt to battle it out with his two teammates, but he has the inside track after being featured as a complimentary corner last season.

Huff will take his first year in stride after Tennessee selected him in this year’s NFL Draft.

Check back Thursday as we preview the safeties.
